Xanthea is a writer, musician and performer living between Melbourne and Perth. With a background in music journalism and radio broadcasting, Xanthea is a 2019 Writer in Residence at Melbourne Recital Centre. After a number of years of writing and performing music under her own name, Xanthea now plays piano and synth in Melbourne alt-pop band Alphington. She also composed the music and sound design for Sleepover Gurlz – a theatre piece that premiered during Melbourne Fringe 2018. Xanthea is currently completing the Associate Degree of Professional Writing and Editing at RMIT.
