Mascara Literary Review was cofounded by Boey Kim Cheng and Michelle Cahill in 2007. The journal is interested in the work of contemporary migrant, Asian Australian and Aboriginal writers. We specialise in refugee writing, human rights, focussing on cultural cohesion and participation. We foster a space for critical reviews, research and avant-garde writing, beyond institutions, that is progressive and vibrant. Our partners include the Deborah Cass Prize, Writers Victoria, the Wollongong Writers Festival, Don Bank Museum and Sweatshop.
