Jacinda Woodhead has been editor and artistic director of Overland magazine since early 2015 (and was the magazine’s deputy editor before that). Her PhD research examined abortion politics in Australia and narrative nonfiction as political intervention. Previously she has worked on a cruise ship, in a magazine factory, in data entry, in university administration and as a casual lecturer – and while the labour differed, the alienation was the same.
