Chelle is a deaf visual artist, born in 1979 in Melbourne. She worked with watercolour until moving away from traditional painting to contemporary multi-medium practices including sculpture, installation, performance, video, textiles, painting and drawing. Chelle has recently begun performing in poetry in Auslan (sign language) and combining textile practices with her performance art.
