Ava Amedi is a writer, musician and artist. He works across songwriting, artist interview, performance, poetry and non-fiction writing genres. Key to his work is a desire to deliver affective experiences to audiences. During a recent artist residency at Testing Grounds, Ava self-produced the ‘Where Are You Now?’ Project – offering intimate scale interviews for artists to reflect on their practises. His recent work has been made with the support of Arts House, The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Un Projects and Djed Press. He is enrolled in the Monash University philosophy/Indigenous studies honours program.
