Vidya Rajan

Vidya is an award-winning writer, comic, and performance-maker working across theatre, screen, and the page. Recent works include Poorly Drawn Shark , Sleepover Gurlz, The Lizard is present, Genesis, A completely unified theory of you+me, Aaaaunty, The Shubaratnams Asian Ghost-ery Store and Friendquest. Vidya was a 2016 Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow and has a Masters in Writing for Performance. She has trained and performed extensively in improvisation and sketch and has recently worked with ABC Comedy, Theatreworks, and Screen Australia’s Developing the Developer Initiative. She is a current writer in residence under commission at the Malthouse Theatre.
