Paola Balla is a Wemba-Wemba & Gunditjmara woman. An artist, curator, writer & lecturer she is the inaugural Lisa Bellear Indigenous Research Scholar based at Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Centre at Victoria University. She curated Executed in Franklin Street, 2015 and co-curated Sovereignty in 2016 & Unfinished Business, perspectives on art & feminism in 2017 at ACCA. She is a member of the Blak Brow Collective who edited the Blak Brow edition #40 2018, for The Lifted Brow & in April 2019 delivered the key note for the Stella Prize.
