Kaya Ortiz is an emerging writer and poet from the southern islands of Mindanao and lutruwita/Tasmania. She is interested in histories, heritage and language. Her poetry has appeared in Peril, Verity La, and the forthcoming Affirm Press anthology, After Australia. Kaya is currently based in Boorloo/Perth.
