Karla is a writer and director from Melbourne’s West. She makes plays with people she loves about things she cares about. Karla was the 2017 recipient of MTC’s Robert MacDonald Award and along with her collaborator Madeleine Kerr was the recipient of the 2017 Hannah Barry Award, and the 2018 Best Emerging Writer Award in Melbourne Fringe Festival.
