New Zealand artist, writer & shy gay Sam Duckor-Jones deals in ceramics & poetry from his Wairarapa home studio. Sam has an MA in creative writing for which he won the 2017 Biggs Poetry Prize & his debut collection was published by Victoria University Press in 2018. His writing has also appeared in Turbine/Kapohau, The Spinoff, Annual & Best NZ Poems. Sam has exhibited extensively across New Zealand and is represented by Bowen Galleries. His work often considers how intimacy is manifested in a life dedicated to solitude. He enjoys eavesdropping on trains.
